Beth was elected President of the Pen
nsylvania Women's Campaign Fund in January 2008 having previously served as Treasurer and member of the organization. College of Notre Dame, currently Maryland's only all-women's college, helped shape Beth's perspective regarding the importance of women's active engagement in developing local, state, national and international policies in order to ensure appropriate representation for all individuals. While at CND, Beth was an active on-campus leader including when she served as the College's representative for the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Forum on Women's Issues in Beijing, China, a forum held in conjunction with the United Nations conference on the same topic in 1995.

During her time as a contract lobbyist, Beth was able to connect her personal passion for women's equality with her professional experience when she lobbied for Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates and other similar organizations. Beth continues her involvement with Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates as a Board member and also serves as a member and former Chair of the Women in Pennsylvania Government Relations - an organization of female lobbyists focused on networking and empowering women to enter the profession of lobbying. Beth has received various awards for her advocacy and leadership efforts including the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg's "Women of Excellence" award, the Central Penn Business Journal's "Top 40 Under 40" award, the PA Association of Resources award for effective lobbying on behalf of individuals with mental disabilities, the Pennsylvania Community Providers Association "Government Relations" award and the "Women in Public Service" award from the Shippensburg University Pi Sigma Alpha Theta Gamma Chapter.
